Internal VP

Prachi Sahoo

External VP
Timothy Chen

Hello, I am Prachi. I am from Dubai, UAE. I graduated with a B.S in ME from GT in 2018 before starting my PhD focused on Safe Intermittent Reinforcement Learning with Dr. Kyriakos Vamvoudakis. In my free time I enjoy doing Pilates, running, cooking healthy versions of guilty meals, wine tastings, and drinking an obscene amount of craft coffee. Two truths and a lie:

1. I can make sourdough bread from scratch and feed my starter “yeast pet” regularly to keep it alive.

2. I do not know how to drive and will probably never learn because I envision myself becoming a New Yorker someday so why bother?

3. I have never been to a Christmas party.

Answer in person in our next MEGA event, and hopefully we will become friends!

Timothy Chen graduated from North Carolina State University in May 2019 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He is a third year Ph.D. student investigating high-capacity materials for lithium-ion batteries. In his free time, Timothy enjoys ice skating, volunteering, and hiking with friends.
